Great Work by your Local Saferneighbourhoods Team

On 4th September 2025 Greenwich Park Safer Neighbourhoods team were successfuly granted a criminal behaviour order against a repeat offender Jonathan TIMPSON, after appearing at Bromley Magistrates Court. The order lasts 3 years and prevents TIMPSON from entering Greenwich Town Centre, Greenwich Peninsula and Woolwich Town Centre. 

Timpson also received a 17 week custodial sentence for theft, public order and breach of community orders. 

Local officers, aware of the agressive begging, anti social behaviour and theft offences being committed by TIMPSON worked tirelessly to collate all the evidence required to pertition for a criminal behaviour order. After initially issuing TIMPSON with a community protection warning highlighting the impact of his behaviours on the local community. TIMPSON was issued with a community protection notice. Continuing to breach this notice, the team put together an application for the magistartes. Collating all of TIMPSONs offending and behaviours with the help of the local community, enabled this order to be granted offering both the community, council and policing team some protection against his continued offending.

This proactive approach to tackling the issues important to the local community are helping to drive a positive change in our town centre.
